Blackham Coliseum tickets & upcoming events

Blackham Coliseum is more than just a sports or concert venue, it’s a local landmark packed with history and character. Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, this place has hosted everything from the electrifying Bayou Classic Battle of the Bands to community events supporting mental health awareness. With around 6,500 seats, it’s got that cozy, close-knit vibe, especially during big events where you can really feel the energy in the air. Fun fact, back in 1987, Blackham was officially recognized on the state’s historic registry, which is pretty cool considering how much it’s seen over the years. The seating layout is pretty straightforward, with lower-tier seats offering great sightlines and side stage spots giving a unique perspective, perfect if you want to be close to the action. If you’re heading there from the north, just follow Evangeline Thruway and turn onto East Simcoe Street, keeping an eye out for traffic signals directing you in. And honestly, Blackham isn’t just about sports, it’s also a hub for arts and education, hosting workshops and community events that aim to inspire and support everyone. Whether you’re after front-row seats, VIP sections, or just looking to catch a NASCAR race on a budget, they’ve got options for all. Trust me, each visit promises a memorable experience, filled with good vibes and maybe even a little Louisiana magic.
